Sky Q System Issues

It has come to the attention of CAI's Technical Committee that in recent months there have been several instances of Members’ IRS systems being classed as failed by attending Sky engineers looking to install Sky Q boxes, and subsequent Member counter claims that their systems are installed and functioning to CAI's Codes of Practice (CoP). This is something presently under joint investigation by CAI and Sky and CAI will issue the relevant guidance or update the CoP as necessary as soon as these investigations are concluded and the problem identified. It is suggested that any Members experiencing such issues with their systems should as always ensure full compliance with CAI's CoP in all parameters across the full range of transponders (TPs) used on a Sky/Freesat IRS system.
